The coronavirus known as COVID-19 forcefully ushered the judiciary into the digital world, taking along with it many legal practitioners who may have resisted technology invading their law office. But there is no longer an aegis protecting lawyers from technology and how they will need to interact with the court now and in the future. Attorneys are even forced to adapt or function at a slight disadvantage. Sometimes lawyers may even be out-savvied by pro se litigants, especially by the younger generation who are more comfortable appearing digitally and who have years of practice refining their appearance on YouTube, Facetime, or Snapchat.
